You won’t find J.C. Venoy, above right, without a buckeye in his pocket! This Nashville native returned to Nashville about four years ago after spending several years in Ohio—the Buckeye state. He returned to his hometown to provide care for his ailing mother and later decided to stay. While the buckeye reminds him of Ohio, he has many more ties to Nashville and Tennessee.  He lives in Northeast Nashville at 2205 Sultana Avenue in a Friendship Homes’ property. Venoy cannot stop singing the praises of Friendship Homes’ Chairman, Wallace Cartwright. He is most proud of the relationship he has developed with Cartwright. “Every time I call, he sends someone right out,” said Venoy. “He’s a good man, and has stayed with me all these years,” Venoy, proudly claims.
